Armed Robberies Involving Pickup Truck Reported Hours Apart In Suffolk
Detectives are investigating two armed robberies that took place within miles of each other on Long Island. The first robbery took place around 11:05 p.m., Monday, Feb. 17, in the parking lot at Jake's 58 Hotel & Casino in Islandia, said Suffolk County Police. During the robbery, police said a man approached a woman in the parking lot, displayed what appeared to be a handgun, and demanded cash.
