The incident happened in Jericho at 4:15 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 3, the Nassau County Police Department reported. NCPD said the suspects were seen tampering with a 2003 Honda Odyssey on Sutton Terrace and fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV. The incident took place in Flanders around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, on Route 105. According to Lt. Susan Ralph, with the Southampton Police, the man died on Sunday night from injuries sustained during the crash.  The medical examiner is working to identify the victim. Carlo M. Guercia, 46, of Massapequa, was on foot in the HOV lane of the westbound expressway, near exit 58, when he was struck by a 2019 Honda Odyssey, Suffolk County Police said.
