Accused Cop Shooter Was Once Rescued From Burning Car By Suffolk County Police The 20-year-old man accused of shooting a Long Island police officer during a foot chase was once rescued by members of the same police force. Jennel Funderburke, of Coram, pleaded not guilty to attempted murder in Suffolk County Court on Friday, May 12, in connection with the shooting of a Suffolk County Police officer one day prior.
