Two Killed, Several Injured After Vehicle Crashes Into Sidewalk In Manhattan Two pedestrians were killed and several people injured when a vehicle crashed onto a Manhattan sidewalk following a head-on crash involving a BMW sedan and a Subaru. The crash took place around 4 a.m., Wednesday, in the area of West 207th Street and Sherman Avenue. According to the NYPD, the vehicles crashed into one another at West 207th Street and Sherman Avenue. During the crash, one of the vehicles hit two parked cars and then jumped onto the sidewalk where two men, ages 31 and 32, were struck and killed, the NYPD said. Missing Former NYU Professor Found After Nearly A Week A former adjunct professor at New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering who suffers from dementia and was reported missing by his family has been located at a Manhattan hospital. Suryanarayan “Suri” Hegde, age 76, was last seen at approximately 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 23 at his Manhattan apartment before being reported missing by his family the following day.
