The crash happened just before 7:40 p.m. Sunday, March 5, in Hempstead. A 45-year-old man operating a 2013 Honda motorcycle eastbound on Peninsula Boulevard was struck by a 2014 Honda Accord operated by a 72-year-old woman as she attempted a left turn onto Grove Street, Nassau County Police said.   The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced dead.  On Tuesday, March 7, police identified the man as Jermaine Thomas of Hempstead. Tatyana Grajales had last been seen in Hempstead on Grove Street around 8 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, Nassau County Police said. Long Island School Bus Driver Found Drunk Slumped Behind Wheel, Police Say A Long Island school bus driver was charged with allegedly driving drunk while children were aboard the bus. At around 4:50 p.m., Nassau County Police received a report of a woman slumped over the steering wheel of a school bus in Hempstead. Officers responded to South Franklin Street and Grove Street to perform a welfare check of the woman, where they found her slumped over the wheel with children aboard the bus, police said.
