The incident happened around 3:25 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15 in Glenwood Landing. Nassau County Police officers responded to a 911 call at 165 Shore Road, where a man was found lying unresponsive on the ground and bleeding from his head. The man, who was 31 years old and an employee working at a construction site, was struck on the head by an unsecured steel beam, said Nassau County Police. LI Man Nabbed For Hitting Two People, Leaving Scene Of Crash, Police Say A Nassau County man was arrested for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident after hitting two people and then fleeing the scene. Amir Dashti, 27, of Glenwood Landing, was arrested around 8:15 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 14, for the crash which took place at 10:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, on Scudders Lane, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, Dashti was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro eastbound on Scudders Lane in Glenwood Landing when he allegedly struck two victims standing in front of 150 Scudders Lane and then fled the scene, police said.
