2 Women Charged With Prostitution After Raid At Ronkonkoma Massage Parlor
Two women are facing prostitution charges after a raid at a Long Island massage parlor.
In response to numerous community complaints, authorities conducted an investigation at Crystal Spa Jin in Ronkonkoma, located at 2411B Chestnut Ave., at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 21.
Queens residents Zoey Chen, age 51, of Forest Hills, and Xiao Qiu Qian, age 47, of Whitestone, were each charged with:
Unauthorized practice of a profession,
Prostitution.

The largest family-owned chain of musical instrument stores in the nation has announced it will be closing all its locations.
Sam Ash Music was founded in 1924, has locations in more than a dozen states, and is headquartered on Long Island, in Hicksville.
It currently has 27 stores, including five in New York (White Plains, Carle Place, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Forest Hills), two in New Jersey (in Springfield and Cherry Hill), two in Pennsylvania (in Philadelphia and King of Prussia), one in Connecticut (in New Haven), and one in Virginia (in Richmond).

A new restaurant and cocktail bar on Long Island is making a splash weeks after opening.
Birdie Bar, located in Northport at 688 Fort Salonga Road, held its grand opening on Monday, April 24, in the space formerly occupied by Seven Quarts Tavern.
Under the direction of Chef Antonio Guillen, the eatery serves up an array of tantalizing entrees and cocktails “crafted with purpose,” according to its Facebook page.
