Long Island Expressway Crash: Woman Killed, Boyfriend Suffers Serious Injuries In Islandia Police are investigating an overnight crash on the Long Island Expressway that left a woman dead and a man seriously injured. It happened around 2:40 a.m. Monday, May 29 between exits 58 and 59 in Islandia. The woman was driving a 2010 Ford Edge eastbound with her boyfriend in the front passenger seat, when the vehicle left the roadway, struck the center median, spun around, and struck the right guardrail, Suffolk County Police said. Recall Issued For Nearly 320,000 Ford Vehicles Due To Faulty Drive Shafts Ford announced three different recalls in North America that will affect four models, totaling nearly 320,000 vehicles. The automaker is recalling certain 2015 through 2017 Ford Transit vehicles, 2019 Ford Edge vehicles and 2019 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
