27-Year-Old Hairstylist From Brentwood Killed In Crash Remembered As 'Passionate, Sweet Soul' Support is pouring in for the family of a 27-year-old woman who was killed in a highway crash on Long Island. Anna Crego, of Brentwood, died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash that occurred shortly after 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, on the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway in Plainview, according to Nassau County Police. Investigators said Crego was driving a 2007 Infiniti northbound on the expressway when she collided with another vehicle near Exit 10. These Suffolk County Schools Honored For Excellent Scholars, Athletes Just 35 high schools across Long Island were given a special designation for their stellar athletes who double as stellar academics. The New York State Public High School Athletic Association, or NYSPHSAA, announced its 2022-2023 “School of Distinction” list on Thursday, July 27. Out of all 84 schools given the award, 35 were from Long Island. In order to qualify, a high school must have 100 percent of its varsity teams qualify for a “Scholar-Athlete team award,” which designates that the team’s average GPA is greater than or equal to a 90.
