Suffolk Man Charged After Two Pedestrians Injured, One Critically, In Crash
A Long Island man is facing charges for his role in an alleged hit-and-run crash that left two pedestrians with injuries, one critical, police said.
Bay Shore resident Emerson Alvarado, 25, was charged on Thursday, Feb. 20 following a weeks-long investigation after the crash in Bay Shore on Monday, Feb. 3, Suffolk County Police said.
According to police, Victor Gonzalez Arevalo and Dany Ibarra Martinez were walking northbound on the sidewalk of Fifth Avenue in Bay Shore, before crossing Fairtown Road, when they were struck by the vehicle traveling northbound on Fifth Avenue.
