Police are investigating a fatal crash during the height of the evening commute on a busy Long Island roadway. It happened just after 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 27 in Selden. One Seriously Injured In Crash On Long Island Roadway
One person was seriously injured in a crash involving an SUV and a scooter on a busy Long Island roadway. It happened around 1:10 p.m. Sunday, June 26 in Westbury. A 2020 Nissan SUV, operated by a 23-year-old woman, was traveling westbound on Old Country Road when it struck the electric scooter operated by a 75-year-old-man that was traveling northbound on Post Avenue, Nassau County Police said. Police Asking Public For Help Locating Long Island Hit-Run Driver
Police are asking the public for help locating a vehicle that hit an electric scooter, injuring the driver, before fleeing the scene of the Long Island crash. The crash took place around 10:50 p.m., Monday, July 5, in Westbury, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, a 31-year-old man was riding an electric scooter near the intersection of Cambridge Avenue and Franklin Street when an unknown vehicle struck him. A Long Island man was killed after falling off an electric scooter and hitting his head at an intersection on Long Island. The incident happened on Saturday, Sept. 12 at around 2:15 p.m. in Great Neck. Emmanuelito Velayo, 56, of Great Neck, was riding the scooter southbound on Bayview Avenue at the intersection of Cuttermill Road when he fell and struck his head on the pavement, Nassau County Police said. He suffered a severe head injury and was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead by a staff physician.
