Montauk Businessman Charged With Ripping Off Customers, DA Says
A Long Island businessman has been charged with grand larceny for the alleged theft of more than $325,000 from some of his customers and a payroll company.
Mark Ripolone, age 34, of Montauk, was arrested on Monday, June 6, and charged with five counts of grand larceny, said Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney.
Ripolone owned “123 Delivery,” a food delivery service, and “Hampton Management Group Inc.,” a beach service company that specialized in providing luxury beach chair setups and decorations for special events, the DA's office said.

Police on Long Island are searching for one of the world's most renowned photographers who was reported missing earlier this week.
Peter Beard, known for his wildlife photography in Africa, as well as painting and drawings, was reported missing from his home near Montauk Point on Tuesday, March 31, officials said.

Montauk Woman Accused Of Driving Drunk In Crash That Killed Bicyclist
A woman who was allegedly driving drunk hit in a crash that killed a bicyclist on Long Island, police said.
The Suffolk Countycrash took place at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30, on Flamingo Avenue in Montauk, said the East Hampton Town Police.
According to police, Lisa L. Rooney, 30, was driving a 2019 Chevy Silverado southbound on Flamingo Avenue when she hit, John James Usma-Quintero, 28, of Montauk, who was also traveling southbound.
Usma-Quintero was transported via Montauk Ambulance to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Rooney was charged with DWI.

Man Charged In Murder Of 38-Year-Old In Montauk Park
A Montauk man has been arrested and charged with the murder of another local man found dead in a park with numerous head injuries.
Joseph Grippo, 47, was arrested at 3:47 p.m., Thursday, June 20, for killing Robert Casado earlier this month, said the Suffolk County Police.
Casado, 38, was found around 7:30 a.m., Thursday, June 6, by a person who then called police reporting an unconscious man in Kirk Park, police said.
