Fire Damages Long Island Home A fire broke out in a Long Island home overnight, officials announced. Firefighters in Massapequa responded to a reported house fire at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 9 on Croyden Drive that broke out inside the residence. The home sustained “substantial damage” during the fire, a Nassau County Police Department spokesperson said, though fire crews were able to keep the fire from spreading.
