Sag Harbor Girl To Appear On MasterChef Junior Cooking Competition TV Show A Long Island resident is appearing on the new season of cooking competition MasterChef Junior. Eva Achuthan-Kozar, of Sag Harbor, is among the 16 junior chefs appearing on season eight of the show. MasterChef Junior gives children ages 8 to 13 the opportunity to showcase their culinary skills through a series of challenges. According to a report from the show, Eva's signature dish is roasted shrimp salad with roasted yellow and red peppers, and she hopes to one day own a three-star Michelin restaurant. Suffolk County Woman To Compete On Food Network Show A Long Island woman who is pretty famous for her cookies on Instagram will appear tonight on the Food Network's Christmas Cookie Challenge. "I'm feeling all the emotions today - nervous, excited, anxious but also really proud," Mount Sinai native Emily Solomos said on Instagram on Thursday, Dec. 9.  But don't think baking cookies is her career.
