Human Remains Found At Long Island Construction Site An investigation is underway after human remains were discovered on Long Island. Officers received a 911 call for possible human remains at a construction site in Woodbury located on Fairhaven Boulevard at about 4 p.m. Monday, June 10, Nassau County Police said. Upon arrival, the officers noticed skeletal remains while digging into the ground.  The Medical Examiner responded, and the remains were removed from the scene and brought to the ME’s office for further examination. Duo Wanted For Stealing $25K In Equipment From Ridge Construction Site Police asked the public for help locating two men who are wanted for stealing equipment and tools valued at more than $25,000 from a construction site on Long Island. Two men broke into three storage containers at a construction site located in Ridge on Wading River Hollow Road and stole the items between 1:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, Suffolk County Crime Stoppers reported on Monday, Nov. 7. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.  Tips can be submitted by calling 1-800-220-TIPS.
