Man, Woman Rescued After Sailboat Overturns On Long Island
Police officers came to the aid of a pair of boaters after their sailboat overturned outside a Long Island marina. A man and woman were on a 14-foot Capri sailboat at approximately 10:55 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16 in Wantagh, when a gust of wind overturned the vessel, stranding them both in the water. Nassau County Police officers in Marine 1 were dispatched to the area, and were able to locate the victims and their vessel.
