Detective Struck By Teen In SUV Stolen In Suffolk County
A police detective was injured after being struck by a vehicle stolen on Long Island driven by a 17-year-old boy in New Jersey, authorities said. Just after 2:25 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, police in Newark saw the Audi -- stolen out of Southampton -- parked at Shephard Avenue near Mapes Place, Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara.
