The incident took place in Suffolk County around 11:14 p.m., Saturday, July 31, when the boats ran into reach others about a quarter-mile south of the Bay Shore Marina, said Suffolk County Deputy Fire Coordinator Jamie Atkinson. The damaged boats were able to make it to different marinas under their own powers. ID Released For Woman Killed In Suffolk County House Fire The identity has been released of a Long Island woman who was killed in a house fire. The blaze broke out around 10:25 a.m., Friday, July 30 in West Islip, on the 800 block of Udall Road. After firefighters extinguished the fire, the body of Suzanne Minervini, age 61, a resident of the home, was discovered, police said. A firefighter suffered minor injuries, police said. A preliminary investigation has determined the cause of the fire to be non-criminal in nature, police said. Two Injured After Explosion At Suffolk County Business Two employees of a Long Island gas company were seriously burned during an explosion. The incident took place around 6:30 p.m., Monday, March 8, at Paraco Gas, located on Corbin Avenue in Bay Shore, said the Suffolk County Police. The explosion occurred when the two employees were filling propane tanks when a small explosion, police said. Two People Rescued From Overturned Van Following Crash Into Tree In Suffolk Two people had to be cut from a van on Long Island after it slammed into a tree and landed on its side. The crash took place around 9 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24, on Montauk Highway in Bay Shore, said the Bay Shore Fire Department. Rescue crews from the fire department rescued two people trapped inside the vehicle, the department said. No serious injuries were reported.  The accident is under investigation.

The incident began in Suffolk County around 9:56 a.m., Thursday, June 25, in the area of Paprocki Avenue and Chestnut Place in West Islip, said the West Islip Fire Department. The Bay Shore Fire Department, along with Suffolk County Police rushed to the Lakehouse Restaurant in Bay Shore around 9 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 10, as the water began to rise and flood the restaurant, trapping all inside, said the Suffolk County Police.
