Man Who Severely Injured LI Officer Nabbed In Deer Park, Police Say A man who allegedly seriously injured a police officer with his vehicle during a traffic stop has been arrested by police. Ephrem Jusino, age 40, of Brooklyn, was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 17 by Nassau County Police for the incident which took place on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, in Hicksville. Long Island Man Nabbed In Stolen Pickup Following Pursuit, Police Say A Long Island man has been arrested for alleged grand larceny after being stopped in a stolen pickup truck. Ryan Buonauro, 23, of East Meadow, was arrested around 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14, after the Hempstead Police attempted to stop a suspicious red pickup truck in Merrick, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, when the Hempstead Police Department determined the vehicle had been reported stolen and attempted to conduct a stop, the vehicle fled in a "reckless manner."
