Duo Charged After Handgun Found During Long Island Traffic Stop Police reported that two men were arrested after a Long Island traffic stop led to the discovery of an illegally possessed handgun.  The Nassau County Police Department reported that the incident happened on Wednesday, July 14, at 3:15 p.m. in Inwood.  Officers saw a 2001 Nissan that was southbound on Sheridan Boulevard, according to police.  Police said the vehicle had a temporary license plate and failed to maintain a lane.  Officers reportedly pulled the vehicle over, and during the traffic stop, they recovered a handgun.
