Strong Winds Knock Out Power To Thousands In Suffolk County

A potent storm system accompanied by strong, gusty winds has caused thousands of customers on Long Island to lose power.

At around 8:15 a.m. Friday, April 12, PSEG Long Island reported that 3,741 customers were without power due to 118 active outages.

A total of 2,182 are without power in Suffolk and 1,559 in Nassau County.
