Nassau County Police say they arrested Jose Figueroa-Morales, 27, of the Bronx after he was found to be one of three males who forcibly entered the victim’s home in Farmingdale and demanded money on Sunday, Sept. 15 around 6:20 p.m.

Once the men gained entry, the victim was struck across the face with a handgun and forced to the floor with her friend, according to police.

Both victims were bound, and the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money, police say.

The 20-year-old female allegedly suffered a severe facial laceration.

Following a thorough investigation, Figueroa-Morales was found to be a suspect and was placed under arrest. He was charged with the following:

  • First-degree robbery
  • Second-degree robbery
  • First-degree burglary

Figueroa-Morales was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday, Oct. 17.
