The crash happened in North Bellport at about 9:50 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, the Suffolk County Police Department reported.
Police said a 23-year-old Holtsville man was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Corvette west on Sunrise Highway near Station Road when he lost control of the car.
The car left the road and crashed into a street sign, police said.
The passenger, a Holtsville woman, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, authorities said.
SCPD said the driver was taken to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue for treatment of minor injuries.
