A driver on Long Island escaped serious injury after losing control of his vehicle and crashing into multiple signs and then slammed into a building.

The incident took place just before 8 p.m., Thursday, April 22, when the driver suffered a medical emergency on the Northern State Parkway in Westbury, said New York State Police.

According to state police, the vehicle was traveling eastbound when it exited the Northern State Parkway when the driver had a medical emergency, struck multiple signs, and crashed into a building at 400 Post Avenue.

The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle and no one was injured in the building, state police said.

The driver was taken to Nassau University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
