26-Year-Old Woman Seriously Injured After Getting Hit By Car On Long Island

A pedestrian had to be airlifted to a Long Island hospital after being struck by a teenage driver on Long Island, police said.

A 17-year-old girl was driving a 2006 Nissan north shortly before 7:30 a.m. on Doughty Boulevard in Inwood when she struck a 26-year-old woman as she attempted to make a left turn onto Sheridan Boulevard, Nassau County Police said.

According to police, the victim suffered serious back injuries and had to be airlifted by a Nassau County Police helicopter to an area hospital for treatment.
