Here are five that are open now or will be soon.

Bel Mar Ristorante, 28 Maidstone Park Rd., East Hampton: opened since July they serve wood-oven pizza, pasta, and classic Italian dishes by Chef Luigi Del Conte. Dishes include Shrimp Sambuca and Veal Luigi, of lightly breaded cutlets served with spinach, mozzarella with wild mushroom Bardolino "demi and marinara reduction.

Coche Comedor, 74 Montauk Highway, Amagansett: The spot used to be the Honest Diner. The eatery's design is contemporary with bright colors. The cuisine features Mexican food inspired by local products. They have a woodburning grill and rotisserie produces roasted chickens, meats and seafood seasoned paired with housemade tortillas. A lively bar has tequilas and mezcals with an emphasis on margaritas.

Anker, 47 Front St. Greenport: They are a contemporary American restaurant highlighting the North Fork farms and fisheries in standard and seasonal fare. There's an upstairs deck with a view of Peconic Bay, according to Anker's website.

Due Baci Italian Restaurant, 154 West Broadway, Port Jefferson: The name means"two kisses" and it's also the name of a signature drink among an array of cocktails, said General Manager Jim Guma.

The eatery has varied pasta dishes to which you can add chicken, shrimp, or salmon. You might try "Rigatoni Arrabiata" with the pasta simmered in San Marzano tomatoes with house-made sausages, peppers, garlic, and EVOO (extra-virgin olive oil) or a fish entree called "Pappardelle Aragosta" of pasta ribbons with hand-picked Maine lobster and herbs in creamy marinara sauce.

"We have four large TVs in the bar and large windows in the bar and dining room overlooking the beautiful Port Jefferson harbor," noted Guma.

Michelangelo of Riverhead, 300 East Main St., Riverhead: The popular North Fork pizza restaurant chain known for its pies and Italian menu standards like eggplant parmesan, steaks, chops, risotto, and pasta opened the first week in August.

Carol Asciote Brown in an Aug. 11 post on their Facebook page recommends the establishment.

"Excellent place to eat, Decour is absolutely beautiful and the food is delicious! Love it, I will be a regular now," says the comment.
