Alert Issued For Central Islip 15-Year-Old Missing Nearly 2 Weeks

Police are asking for help locating a 15-year-old Long Island girl who has been missing for nearly two weeks.

Laniya Gaymon, of Central Islip, didn’t show up at her Coventry Lane residence after school on Tuesday, Jan. 23, according to Suffolk County Police. Relatives reported her missing that evening.

Gaymon is 5-foot-8 and 220 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a gray sweater, black T-shirt, and light-colored sweatpants. She has a nose ring.

Detectives said the teen has a history of leaving home and may be in the Wyandanch or Manhattan areas.
