Dutchess Could See More Snow Before Midweek Warmup

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- The frigid conditions that have gripped the area will soon give way to much warmer temperatures starting Wednesday, but Dutchess has one more wintry day in store.

There is a chance of accumulating snow Tuesday before the temperatures gradually rise.

The snow chance starts around 11 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service, and remains until around 5 p.m. when any snow is expected to mix with rain.

Tuesday's high temperature will be around 35 degrees. New snow accumulation of less than one inch is possible.

Tuesday night will bring rain and snow likely before 8 p.m., then rain, with the overnight low around 34.

There is a chance of rain before 10 a.m. Wednesday, then a slight chance of rain after 4 p.m. during a day with a mix of clouds and sun and a high soaring to 50 degrees. 

Thursday's high should also reach the 50-degree mark with a chance of rain starting in the afternoon.
