Multiple vehicles were broken into early on Friday, July 15, in Yorktown, in the Shrub Oak and Mohegan Lake areas, according to Yorktown Police. Investigators released surveillance footage showing the suspect wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and an orange and red face mask. On Tuesday, June 29, New York State Police from the Brewster barracks issued an alert to remind members of the community in Putnam County to lock their vehicles at night and not to leave keys inside before heading to bed.
