Missing Man From Region Found Dead The search for a missing man from the region has ended in tragedy. Albany County resident Richard Ryther, age 71, of Glenmont, was reported missing Friday, Nov. 24. On Sunday, Nov. 26, Bethlehem Police announced that Ryther was found dead in a wooded area at the Moh-He-Con-Nuck Nature Preserve. The preserve is located just yards from Ryther’s home on River Road. His death does not appear suspicious, police said. The Albany County Coroner’s Office will determine an official cause of death. Overnight temperatures Friday and Saturday were in the low to mid 20’s. Multiple agencies assisted …

Dead Man Found Floating In Hudson Valley Pond, Police Say A dead man was found floating in a pond in Northern Westchester by a police sergeant on routine patrol. The body was spotted around 2 p.m., Friday, May 1, by the Westchester County Police sergeant on routine patrol in Mt. Kisco, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the department. The body was floating in the pond at Leonard Park, O'Leary said. The cause and circumstances of the man's death are under investigation.  This is a developing story.
