Duo Fatally Shoots Man Inside Home In Region, Police Say Two men are behind bars on murder charges after allegedly gunning down a man inside a home in the region. Multiple people called 911 shortly before 7 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, reporting gunshots at a Schenectady home on State Street near Grove Place, according to Schenectady Police. When officers arrived, they found a 42-year-old man on the second floor suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, identified as Leroy Chisom, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Lutricia Steele was last seen leaving her Schenectady home, located in the Mont Pleasant neighborhood on Webster Street, in the early afternoon of May 1, 2008, according to Schenectady Police. The then 27-year-old never returned home and has not been heard from since. Man Shot To Death In Region On 21st Birthday Police in the Capital District are trying to figure out who shot a man to death on his 21st birthday. Schenectady Police were called at around 11:30 p.m. Monday, May 30, with reports of a man lying on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds near State and Hulett streets. By the time officers arrived the victim had already been taken to Ellis Hospital by private vehicle, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
