Vehicle Overturns, Falls Inches From 'Swelling Stream' In Hudson Valley After Collision Two people were rescued when their vehicle fell down an embankment inches from a flooded stream after an accident in Northern Westchester.  On Wednesday, Nov. 30, around 1:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to a two-car accident in Yorktown Heights on the Taconic State Parkway northbound in the area of Illington Road, according to the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department.  Upon arriving, fire officials found both vehicles off the roadway on opposite sides. Crash Destroys FedEx Tractor-Trailer On Busy Roadway In Region A driver managed to escape severe injuries during a crash of a FedEx tractor-trailer. The crash took place in Sullivan County in the town of Thompson on Route 17 around 7 a.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 30. According to the Rock Hill Fire Department, the driver was able to exit the vehicle on his own and was immediately transported to the hospital by Mobile medic EMS with non-life-threatening injuries. The department was assisted by: New York State Police,  State Department of Transportation,  Mobile medic EMS,  Rock Hill EMS Prestige Towing.

One Injured After SUV Overturns On I-684, Causing Route 22 Closure One person was injured when an SUV overturned on I-684, closing Route 22 in both directions.The incident took place northbound around 2:20 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, in Purdys, when the vehicle rolled over the side of I-684 just south of Exit 7, jumped the guardrail and landed on its roof on Route 22, said state police. State Department of Transportation officials said Route 22 is closed in both directions near the crash site.
