Jackpot! $34K Winning Lottery Ticket Sold At Business In Region
A winning lottery ticket worth over $30,000 was sold at a business in the region. The top-prize-winning TAKE 5 ticket, worth $34,822, was sold in Greene County in Prattsville, at the Catskill Mountain Wine & Liquor on Main Street. It was sold for the evening drawing held on Wednesday, Feb. 7, New York Lottery announced. Winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prize money. Players can check their numbers on the New York Lottery website.

Support Rising For 'Wonderful' Volunteer EMT, Minister In Region Battling Cancer
Support is on the rise for a volunteer EMT and minister from the region facing what colleagues describe as a long battle with cancer. Greene County resident Ken Aurigema, of Prattsville, has been a volunteer at the Lexington fire department for 27 years, serving as an EMT and fire police officer, according to a GoFundMe campaign organized by Liza Dwon. In August 2022, Aurigema underwent surgery for colon cancer and began chemotherapy treatments.
