The Greene County incident happened shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, on I-87 in the town of Catskill. State Police said a motorhome was towing a Jeep when it experienced a mechanical failure that ignited a fire. When troopers arrived, they found the RV on the right shoulder fully engulfed in flames. 18-Year-Old Dies In Single-Car Crash In Region An 18-year-old man died following a single-car crash on a highway in the region. Emergency crews in Columbia County were called at around 10:15 p.m. Thursday, April 7, with reports of a fatal crash on Route 9G in Germantown, according to State Police. An investigation found that Raphael McDonald, of Athens in Greene County, was speeding in the northbound lane when he lost control on a curve. The vehicle slid off the road and crashed into a utility pole. McDonald was ejected from the car and died at the scene, police said. The incident happened at around 8:40 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, on Route 9 in Columbia County, in the town of Kinderhook. State Police said a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe was southbound when the golf cart entered the roadway near Maple Lane South and the vehicles collided. Motorcyclist Killed In LaGrange Crash A motorcyclist was killed during a crash with a car in LaGrange, according to the state police. The crashed happened at around 6:35 a.m. Thursday at 460 Freedom Plains Road (Route 55) following a crash with a car, said New York State Trooper AJ Hicks.
