'Drive Sober Or Get Pulled Over' Campaign Launches Across NY State
‘Tis the season for cracking down on drunk driving. Starting on Wednesday, Dec. 13, and lasting through Monday, Jan. 1, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that the New York State Police would join in on the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign. Motorists in need of a coffee or a pit stop can now enjoy that and a lot more at a new service area on I -87 in the Hudson Valley. The new service area in Ulster County, located in the town of Plattekill, (is now open to the public. The New York State Thruway Authority has announced the start of a $9.7 million pavement improvement project on the New York State Thruway (I-87) spanning Orange and Ulster counties. Here's How Much Tappan Zee Bridge Toll Could Increase If NY Thruway Proposal Takes Effect
It could soon cost more to drive on the New York State Thruway, and that includes the Tappan Zee Bridge. The New York State Thruway Authority's (NYSTA) board of directors will meet Monday, Dec. 5, to consider a proposed toll hike that would begin in 2024, WIVB in Buffalo reports.
