The Peekskill Police Department has issued an alert to the community after finding a “fine feathered friend” in the downtown area. The parrot was safely recovered and is currently resting at the Peekskill Police Department. On Facebook, the department joked that it's hesitant to post a photo of the parrot, “since we've already had three people claim he was theirs, and they were our cops.”  But even without releasing a photo, they are actively getting out the word about the bird.
