Albany County resident Sean Pacheco, age 40, of Watervliet, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of John Welcome in Albany County Court on Monday, Dec. 5. Beacon Gang Assault Leads To Four Arrests Three men and a juvenile were arrested in connection with a gang assault of a 39-year-old man in the area. The arrests took place around 11:40 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19, when City of Beacon Police officers responded to the area of Main Street and Schenck Avenue for a past assault, said Det. Sgt. Jason Johnson.  The victim had been assaulted and robbed. A description of the attackers was given and a canvass of the area led to a foot pursuit with 31-year-old Cequan Kimble, of Beacon, Johnson said.
