Multiple agencies in Greene County were called just before 2 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, with reports of a home invasion in the town of Greenville, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The victims told police that several armed individuals broke into their home before assaulting and holding down two occupants until they were able to locate and steal an undisclosed amount of cash. Man Busted In Region For Driving High On Drugs With Child In Vehicle, Police Say A man from the Capital District is facing charges after he was allegedly busted driving high on drugs with a child in the car. Troopers stopped Schenectady resident Derrick Hill, age 50, Monday evening, June 27, on I-87 in the town of Coeymans for a vehicle and traffic violation, according to New York State Police. It was determined that he was impaired by drugs and had a revoked license, police said. He also had a 3-year-old child in the vehicle. Teen Apprehended On I-87 In Stolen Vehicle After Fleeing From Troopers, State Police Say A teenager was arrested in the region after attempting to flee from police in a stolen vehicle during a chase that started in Albany County and ended in Greene County. In Albany County, state police troopers on patrol shortly before 10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18 received a report of a stolen vehicle that was traveling south on I-87 in the town of Coeymans. Troopers were able to locate the vehicle, a New York State Police spokesperson said, and when they attempted to pull over the driver, the teen failed to comply, prompting a pursuit.
