Armed Robber Carjacks Victim In Area Neighborhood, Police Say Police are investigating an armed carjacking that occurred in a residential neighborhood in the region. The Schenectady County incident happened at around 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, in the village of Scotia on Bruce Street. The victim told police the suspect came up behind him and threatened him with a gun. The suspect then forcibly stole his car before fleeing toward North Ballston Avenue. Officers later found the car abandoned several blocks away at the Cambridge Manor apartments. Armed Teen Apprehended In Area For Carjacking ID'd Police have identified one of two men involved in an alleged armed carjacking of a taxi driver in Westchester County who was apprehended in Cortlandt. The incident took place around 3:13 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 17, when the Yonkers Police Department responded to the area of Elm Street and Walnut Street on a report of a robbery, said Yonkers Police Det. Lt. Dean Politopoulos. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 39-year-old female resident of Yonkers, who said that she was working as a taxi driver when she was approached by two armed men who stole her taxi, Politopoulos said. …
