Body Found Floating In Mad River In Waterbury An investigation is underway after a body was found floating in a Connecticut river. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 11:10 a.m., Friday, April 26, near 135 East Liberty Street in Waterbury. According to Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police, the body was removed from the waters of the Mad River and confirmed to be dead. Police did not reveal if the person found was a man or a woman.
