POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The new year was welcomed along with a new mayor on Saturday, Jan.2 with the swearing in of Rob Rolison, reports, twcnews.com.

Rolison served as member of the Dutchess County legislature for 14 years, six of which as chairman. He was formerly a detective with the Poughkeepsie police department, says twcnews.com..
