Two City of Poughkeepsie residents were busted with fentanyl, guns, and cash during a warrant search by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force.
Anthony Melendez, aka Arnold Melendez, 33, and Quinshaya Melendez, 28, both of 100 Academy St., were busted following a search warrant executed as a result of an investigation into narcotics sales taking place in and around their home, said Frank Tasciotti, assistant coordinator of the task force.
During the search, agents found three ounces of Fentanyl, an illegal Ruger 9mm handgun, approximately $3,500.00 cash, scales, and packaging materials, he said.
Anthony Melendez was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and felony possession of a weapon.
Quinshaya Melendez was charged with felony tampering with evidence and endangering the welfare of a child.
