Kristina L. Keener, 26, and Kevin J. Lamastro, 23, were arrested on Jan. 20 by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Wappinger barracks.

In January of 2016, troopers were dispatched to a Wappinger residence to investigate a reported larceny. An investigation revealed that jewelry the victim had reported stolen was sold in Poughkeepsie by the defendants. Keener and Lamastro, who are acquaintances of the victim, had allegedly stolen the valuables from the victim in December of 2015.

The duo were each charged with grand larceny 4th degree, a Class E Felony, and criminal possession of stolen property 5th degree, a class A misdemeanor.

The defendants were arraigned in Wappinger Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. They are due to appear in Poughkeepsie and Wappinger courts at a later date.
