Funeral services have been scheduled for the popular 30-year-old Hudson Valley gymnastics coach killed last week in a murder in which his girlfriend has been charged.
Christopher N. Grover of the Town of Poughkeepsie died on Thursday, Sept. 28. His girlfriend, 29-year-old Nicole Addimando, was arrested after flagging down a patrol officer around 2:16 a.m. Thursday telling them she had been involved in an incident with her boyfriend.
Addimando was charged with felony second-degree murder and remanded to Dutchess County Jail without bail. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is still ongoing.
Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Route 9 in Red Hook on Tuesday, Oct. 3 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
Born on March 26, 1987, in Rhinebeck, Grover was the son of Peter and Gail (Shanley) Grover of Tivoli. He was a 2006 graduate of Red Hook High School.
Grover was the head coach at Mr. Todd's Gymnastics located in Poughkeepsie for many years and previously worked at Fly High Gymnastics in Red Hook.
In addition to his loving parents- Peter and Gail Grover, Chris is survived by his children, Benjamin & Faye Grover; his brother, Kevin Grover of Red Hook, NY; his maternal grandparents, Norman & Shirley Shanley of Tivoli, NY; his paternal grandmother, Joan Grover of Red Hook, NY; his "favorite aunt", Tracy Shanley of Tivoli, NY; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousin, extended family, colleagues, and friends.
Chris was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Brendan "Benny" Grover.
