WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- John J. Raffaele, Sr., of Wappingers Falls, died on Friday, March 10. He was 64.
RAFFAELE was born on Dec. 5, 1952 in Yonkers. He worked as a plumber for many years for Poughkeepsie City School District, Tempaire, Frank and Lindy Plumbing and M&T Bank in Fishkill, until his retirement. In his free time, he loved spending time with his grandchildren; they meant the world to him.
In addition to his wife, Fannie, and his mother, Rose, survivors include his son, John Raffaele, Jr. (Elise) of Poughkeepsie; his daughter, Nicole Clark of Poughkeepsie and his beloved grandchildren, Olivia, Jake and Justin.
Family will receive their friends on Tuesday, March 14, from 4 - 7 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home following visitation at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, Va. 22202.
