Elizabeth Hogan, 77, Fishkill Resident

FISHKILL, N.Y. -- Elizabeth Hogan, affectionately known as Betty, of Fishkill, died Jan. 4. She was 77.

Born March 21, 1938, in the Bronx, she was one of Elsie and Arthur Geisler’s seven children.

She and her husband left the Bronx for Dutchess County in 1962, where they settled in LaGrange. They were proprietors of the Klondike Inn from 1972-82 before moving to Hopewell Junction. She finished her long and rewarding career as a bus driver for the Arlington School District. 

Brothers Barry and Butch Geisler and sister Beverly Tarver preceded her in death.

She is survived by brothers Danny and Lenny Geisler and Kenny Conrad. 

She married James “Whitey” Hogan in 1959, who preceded her, and leaves behind children Anthony Alfalla and daughter-in-law Susan, Michael Hogan and wife Alice, Debbie Stopa-Hogan and wife Tracy and Denise Andersen and husband Erik. She was a grandmother of 10, and great-grandmother of four. 

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m Thursday Jan. 7 at the Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 1028 Main St., Fishkill. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
