Empowerment Center Will Aid Poughkeepsie Residents

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. --  A community empowerment center opened Saturday, Jan. 8 in Poughkeepskie, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

The James and Leatrice Hunt Community Empowerment Center at 90 Market St. was named for Beth-El Church of God In Christ Pastor Dwight Hunt's parents, reported the Poughkeepsie Journal. 

The center will offer GED, mentoring and other programs, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
