Covid-19: Here's Latest Rundown Of Dutchess County Cases By Community

There were two new COVID-19 deaths reported in Dutchess County as the number of active cases and hospitalizations are on the rise during the "second wave" of the virus.

According to the county Department of Health, as of Thursday, Dec. 3, the number of active COVID-19 cases in Dutchess has dipped to 734, up from 667 on Monday, Nov. 30.

Late last month, the county was only reporting approximately 200 active cases.

There have now been 7,512 - approximately 400 new this week - confirmed COVID-19 cases since the outbreak began in early March out of 291,796 tests administered in Dutchess.

The death toll in Dutchess County has now reached 192 people, up from 185 late last week.

Seventy-seven patients are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, up from 51 last week.

  • Poughkeepsie: 82;
  • Wappinger: 51;
  • Poughkeepsie City: 50;
  • Hyde Park: 49: 
  • Fishkill: 49;
  • Beacon City: 40;
  • LaGrange: 39;
  • Beekman: 32;
  • Dover: 26;
  • Pleasant Valley: 21;
  • Pawling: 17;
  • Wappingers Falls Village: 14;
  • Amenia: 10;
  • Red Hook: 9;
  • Union Vale: 9;
  • Fishkill Village: 7;
  • Clinton: 6;
  • Pawling Village: 6.

There are less than five active COVID-19 cases in:

  • Milan;
  • Millbrook Village;
  • Millerton Village;
  • North East;
  • Pine Plains;
  • Red Hook Village;
  • Rhinebeck: 
  • Rhinebeck Village;
  • Stanford;
  • Tivoli Village;
  • Washington.

In the latest data released by the state Department of Health, 146,675 COVID-19 tests were administered in New York on Tuesday, with 7,285 testing positive for the virus. The positive infection rate is at 4.96 percent and there are currently 3,774 COVID-19 patients in New York hospitals. Sixty-six new virus-related deaths were reported.

Statewide since the pandemic began, 647,980 positive COVID-19 cases have been confirmed out of 19.4 million who have been tested. There has been a total of 26,747 COVID-19 fatalities since the pandemic began.
