A Hudson Valley woman convicted of murdering her boyfriend and father of her children will not spend the rest of her life behind bars after seeing her sentence reduced following an appeal. Last year, Dutchess County resident Nicole Addimando, now 32, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, was sentenced to a term of 19 years to life in prison after being found guilty of second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the fatal shooting of her former boyfriend, Christopher Grover. Motorcyclist Seriously Injured After Crashing Into Embankment In Area
A late-night motorcycle crash left an area man with serious injuries after he drove into a rock embankment. A 29-year-old Ulster County resident was riding on Van Wagner Road in the Town of Poughkeepsie at approximately 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12, when he failed to negotiate a turn on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, forcing him off the road and into the embankment on the side of the road. The driver, a resident of Kingston, suffered serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Westchester Medical Center for treatment. The area woman who was found guilty of murdering her boyfriend in September 2017 is hoping to be sentenced under a new law. Nicole Addimando, 30, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, was found guilty of second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of her former boyfriend, Christopher Grover, a 2006 graduate of Red Hook High School who was a head coach at Mr. Todd’s Gymnastics in Poughkeepsie, in April.
