A man from the region was nabbed after allegedly breaking into a home and stabbing an ex-girlfriend in the throat with a scalpel. The incident took place in Sullivan County in Eldred around 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15 on Pine Ayre Drive. A Hudson Valley alleged drug dealer was busted by the Drug Task Force following a warrant search of his home. Dutchess County resident Anthony Howlett, age 32, from the town of Poughkeepsie, was charged on Thursday, Sept. 21 with criminal sale of a controlled substance. According to Det. Sgt. Adam Harris, of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force, agents opened an investigation into Howlett for selling narcotics in the Poughkeepsie area. A man is behind bars after allegedly slicing his mother's throat in an attempt to kill her in the region, police said. The attack took place in Ulster County in Ellenville around 1:40 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21 on Roslyn Street. According to Capt.
